Susan Masturzo
Director of Physical Therapy/Owner
Susan has over 30 years of experience in
Out-Patient Physical Therapy in Akron, Ohio and in Northeast Ohio.
Certifications include:
Susan has been treating dancers since 1989. She was the primary physical therapist for the Ohio Ballet for the last 20 years of their existence. She also has expertise in the treatment of Irish dancers and modern dancers. Susan uses her extensive knowledge of kinesiology in dance and movement arts to provide individualized programs for injury prevention and recovery. She provides care for several professional and pre-professional dance companies in Northeast Ohio.
Susan also uses her expertise to provide care for many activities in addition to dancing. She has studied cycling injury recovery and prevention, and is able to instruct a cyclist in techniques using their own bike and her KIKR trainer.
Susan has eight years of experience in dry needling and 3 years of experience in cupping techniques. These techniques help to reduce the length of time it takes to recover from most injuries.
Ellen Walker
CLT, Senior Physical Therapist
Ellen has 25 years of experience in
Out-Patient Physical Therapy in Akron, Ohio and in Northeast Ohio.
Certification includes:
Ellen has been a runner for over 40 years. She has completed 17 Marathons and over 30 Half Marathons. She is an expert in treating running injuries. Her biomechanical gait analysis for runners allows Ellen to assist runners with their recovery from injuries, while also helping them to prevent additional injuries.
Ellen is a breast cancer survivor who is passionate about helping other breast cancer survivors recover. Ellen relieves the pain and tightness with specific massage techniques and stretches. The “hands-on” approach to recovery from breast cancer is individualized and very effective in returning patients to their previous daily activities
